Foundation

The foundation course is designed to equip students with essential academic skills and knowledge necessary for a successful transition from high-school to undergraduate studies. Students will engage in comprehensive modules covering effective study strategies, time management, critical thinking, and information literacy. The course will also focus on enhancing written and oral communication skills, fostering a strong foundation in English language proficiency

Technical:

In the second semester, students opting for technical programs will delve into fundamental concepts in Science and Mathematics to develop a holistic understanding of quantitative and analytical reasoning. This curriculum ensures that all students acquire the core competencies needed for academic excellence in their chosen programme at College of Information Technology.

Non-technical:

In the second semester students pursuing non-technical disciplines, offering an introduction to Accounting and Finance, Business Studies, Psychology, and Art and Design. Engaging with topics students will develop critical analysis, communication, and cultural awareness skills. The curriculum emphasizes creativity, ethical reasoning, and a comprehensive understanding of societal issues. Alongside these components, students will continue to strengthen their proficiency in English language and mathematical concepts, ensuring a well-rounded foundation for success in non-technical undergraduate studies for their chosen programme at the College of Business, Humanity or Design.

Learning Outcomes:

The Foundation Program aims to bridge academic gaps, cultivate a passion for learning, and prepare students for the challenges of higher education. It serves as a stepping stone toward various undergraduate disciplines, laying the groundwork for success in future academic pursuits.

Eligibility:

Prospective students typically need a high school diploma or equivalent. Admission criteria may vary, but a genuine interest in learning and motivation to Excel are highly valued.

Minimum Period: 6 Months, Maximum Period: 12 Months
